walton ford, ford of the day
We have mentioned Walton before but due to the growing popularity we bring Walton up once more. Walton Ford has been featured by the Albertina who showed his work in Austria for the first time. The "Hamburger Bahnhof" in Berlin did as well. It is said that Tom Ford bought some of his namesake's picture. Even though theFordbrothers find the aesthetics of Walton Ford's images rather questionable with fur looking like feathers, we both respect his success and the fact that he seems to be a hard working guy like us.

Ford of the Day is Muhammad Ali, an eternal source of inspiration for the Fordbrothers - or eternal "force of inspiration" like our friend Gökce Ince prefers to put it. However, we Fordbrothers are very sensitive beings and are therefore sometimes hurt by ignorant critics who are unable to understand our videos cause their brains operate at an alarmingly lower frequency than 1/25 of a second.

Roland Fischer Briand who borrowed his collection of postcards and fleemarket photo acquisitions for scanning and being used in Thomas Draschan's aka John Ford's collage work pointed the Fordbrothers to the fact that the "fat car" by austrian artist Erwin Wurm in the MAK is actually a Ford. Even though he could not name the exact model we Fordbrothers, always being in search of great examples of Fordism as well as Unfordism are very greatful and highly aprreciate this information that gives us the oportunity to finally incorporate some contemporary art into our ongoing Ford of the Day series.

Jette Cathrin Hopp just told us on Facebook she's been riding her beautiful Oslo Fjord through Oslo.
We should post more about cycling as a very interesting thread about bicycles is evolving on Facebook featuring Markus Vetters Colorado Concept Tubing Race bike from Serotta as well as his Nicolai Helius RC, Jettes Oslo Fjord, Günter Zehetners Pegasus Familiy bike with it's practical shopping basket, Vera Brüggemanns NSU Hollandbike from 1940 and a Dahon folding bike owned by John Ford. Bikes are always a big issue for the Fordbrothers. My Cannondale Mountainbike recently got stolen and I am still waiting for the replacement: another Cannondale F1 with the fashionable Lefty Fork. Fordbrother Geronimo is about to buy a bike but can't decide what to buy and currently opts for a Cannondale Bad Boy even though I keep telling him not to buy it as it will get stolen. Actually I currently think about getting a decent single speed as a city bike but haven't made up my mind which frame to chose. My ideal would be a Serotta titanium frame painted with cheesy colours to make it look like worthless trash so thieves would overlook it ....

Ford loses millions
While it's going down with Ford cars in times of economic crisis it's going up with the Fordbrothers. The Stuttgarter Filmwinter held a retrospective of Thomas Draschan aka Fordbrother John which also included some Fordbrothers work as Everything's Gone Green, Keynote and Preserving Cultural Traditions in a Period of Instability.
Brother John teamed up with festival employee Alexander and rocked as hard as he could. This got highly aknowledged in an article by renowned German newspaper Stuttgarter Nachrichten. Yes, dear and beloved friends! Despite all rumors of health decay through years of excess and self abuse the Fordbrothers still kick it hard!

Ford of the Day
Reacting on the Turkish government's decision to shut down Youtube, Wordpress and Youporn in Turkey, the Fordbrothers recalled their Ford Consul to Vienna for urgent consultation on this issue. Ford Consul can drive on it's own, it can also speak for itself. Therefore ambassador Ilford could stay in Istanbul as he wished (he doesn't want to live in Ankara, he is not an ordinary ambassador, he states). We got word of some tensions between Ilford and Ford Consul as the machine refuses to call him Ilford but instead stubbornly adresses him with "Michael".
We do have diplomat license plates as well, but Ford Consul is operating undercover throughout the world, therefore it's license plate as well as color is changed daily.
However, this is one of the first sanctions of the Fordbrothers and we'll keep up the pressure on the Turkish government.
Unpostable Ford of the Day
Dear reader, dear brothers and sisters in Ford,
two days ago the Turkish Republic caused great damage to the wonderful world of Ford. I've tried to post a Youtube video for you which was brought to the Fordbrothers' attention by scriptwriter Don Leon who is currently working with brother John. But due to a ban of Youtube in Turkey it is not possible for me to bringt this video to your attention at the moment. Because i'm Ilford and i'm in Turkey.
In this country there is a law against insulting the founder of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. For the second time in less than one year this law was executed on Youtube because some videos online claim (amongst other things) that Atatürk was gay. That he was an alcoholic is accepted amongst pro Kemalist historians (due to the fact that he died from cirrhosis of the liver) and therefore not insulting (even thought the formulation mostly goes something like this: "he enjoyed it in vast quantities"). But gay is too much for the male nationalist ego. He was a military man and up until today stating that you're gay allows you to skip the obligational military service for the price of getting a lifelong official record that can be asked for later in your life, e.g. by the potential employer upon application.
Back to censorship and Youtube: Not only does this affect users who want to access Youtube directly but also all Youtube videos that are embeded on other sites ... like on our infamous Fordbrothers' site. And that's not it: following a court decision, in summer 2007, entire Wordpress was shut down as well for Turkish users and is not accessiblhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gife up until today. A creatonist named Adnan Oktar felt insulted in one or the other blog in this case. Further, dear brothers and sisters in Ford, the juicy site Youporn has been shut down as well here in Turkey. I don't know exactly since when and can only guess why, but also find it highly irritating.
The Turkish & Middle Eastern division of the Ford brotherhood is currently using all it's ressources to make pressure on the Turkish governement and calls upon every decent human being to support our struggle for freedom of speech and expression!

To our surprise we recently found our blog mentioned in an article by Andrea Maria Dusl aka Comandantina Dusilova. She recommended The Fordbrothers' blog in the Austrian daily newspaper Der Standard supplement Rondo (29th Feb. 2008 / Nr. 460 / Page 10).
The Fordbrothers feel greatly honoured and find their endeavors higly rewarded by such a mention as we are true admirers of La Comandantina as a writer and film directrice.
We want to remember you, dear reader, that Andrea Dusl directed the Film "Blue Moon" and brought our atention to lovely actrice Viktoria Malektorovych who should appear in films more often as we really admire her lovely acting as well as her very lovely appearance in general and total.
This mention gives us a wonderful and unique oportunity for being self referental, almost like other media personalities who get written about because they are in the media because they get public attention. Maybe this will spiral up into incredible success, ending in a Fordbrothers merchandising business, calendars for 0,99 $ with fordbros. pictured naked etc etc, turning the Fordbrother existence into a profitable entreprise. well, we are prepared.
The Fordbrothers enjoy any publicity as we are "Medienartisten" as Comandantina calls us, a term that hardly can be translated into english. "media high wire artist" isn't half as elegant. "Medienartisten" always long for public attention as this should be and has always been the main goal of any wired and high artist.
The question remains: why did comandantina Dusilova do this? What is behind all this? Does she want her high heels being licked by the incredibly sexy Fordbrothers or is it simply an act of selfless generosity to ennoble us with that mention. We don't know yet, but we might eventually find out, so please stay tuned, we'll keep you updated.

... or should we say "word of the day" is fordçuluk (pronounced like unfortunately).
It is used in Turkey to describe a phenomenon where men take advantage of a tight public transport situation to rub themselves at women's bodies. A person committing this act is a fordçu. The term derives from Ford buses that were used for public transport in Turkey for a long time. The video shows a classical fordçuluk situation and how a Fordbrother should react once confronted with it. Needless to say that preventing a fordçu from committing fordçuluk on a young lady is a sign of good manners, an impressive act and, above all, might even win her heart ...
Though we have to admit: sometimes even the morally blameless Fordbrothers with their high moral standards fall victim to their animal desires and commit fordçuluk. We don't use innocent women though, we treat objects like women.

In 1988 "The Timelords" (aka The KLF aka Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty) came up with their new hitsingle "Doctorin' the Tardis". Also credited on the record was "Ford Timelord", Cauty's (aka Lord Rock) 1968 Ford Galaxie American police car (claimed to have been used in the film Superman IV filmed in the UK). Drummond (aka Time Boy) and Cauty declared that the car had spoken to them, giving its name as Ford Timelord, and advising the duo to become "The Timelords".

Travis Touchdown is a character of the Nintendo wii game created by Goichi Suda (aka Suda 51) who got famous with his stylish and ueber-violent game Killer7. Travis seems to us like being modelled after the looks of our beloved Ilford (compare the images!) his looks only being altered little simply to better fit japanese likings.
The Fordbrothers feel honoured by such a reverence by a videogame master like Suda 51. The Fordbrothers send their kindest regards to Mr. Goichi Suda and his team. We're eagerly awaiting a copy of this game, having our wii set up and ready to go! Nevertheless we fear that it might take quite a long time for the game to hit europe. As the game is being advertised being even more "ueber violent" than "Manhunt 2. As a worst case scenario we fear that we will have to get an import version only playable on wii's with a mod-chip which will again force the fordbrothers into illegal activities regarding copyright laws.
The fordbrothers being used to violate common legislation in various fields with great pleasure will do so without the slightest hesitation. It could be stated that through the permanent abuse of found footage in their work violation of copyright laws has become their second nature. John Ford who has been an excellent swordsman in his youth hopes that the game based on sword fight will give him an oportunity to proof his remarkable capabilities without having to get up from his newly aquired witmann sofa.

for it's positive commitment to the traditional world of silver halide black and white photography. They let us know on their homepage that some of the greatest and most famous photographs ever taken have been in black and white. We gave it a try and took this photo of Lord Ford in Istanbul who is since calling himself "Ilford". Further he tries to expand the concept into daily life by perceiving the world in black and white only. "Many issues don't bother me anymore, things got more simple thanks to Ilford", says Lord Ford aka Ilford.

Lord Ford is currently shooting a documentary about a muezzin competition in Istanbul more. In one of the city's bookstores he found this giant book that makes thim look like a dwarf.
Fordbrother John stayed in Vienna as most of the time. Istanbul isn't far he says, but the way to the next airport is. Currently the Fordbrothers mostly stay in touch via the internet with their high-tech computer equipment.

He was the 38th President (1974–1977), and 40th Vice President (1973–1974) of the United States.
Ford became the only person to hold that office without having been elected either President or Vice President.
As Gerald Ford recalled later in life, his biological father was abusive and had a history of hitting his mother. James M. Cannon, who was the executive director of the domestic council during the Ford administration, wrote in a biography of the former president that the Kings' separation and divorce was sparked when, a few days after Ford's birth, Leslie King, Sr. threatened his wife, Dorothy, with a butcher knife and announced his intention to kill her, the baby, and the baby's nursemaid. By the winter of 1882, the gang of outlaws led by Jesse James had been greatly reduced due to deaths, captures, and men abandoning the gang. Jesse thought he had only two men left whom he could trust: brothers Bob and Charley Ford. James was running short of cash, and was happy to recruit the young Charley Ford and his brother, Robert, to assist in the robbery of the Platte City Bank. The Ford brothers posed as cousins of Jesse James, but were in fact unrelated. James asked the Ford brothers to move into his house in St. Joseph, Missouri in order to keep himself better protected. Unfortunately for James, the Ford brothers' plan was not to rob the bank, but to collect the $10,000 bounty that had been placed on James's head.
Mostly a "hanger-on" Bob did odd jobs and held the horses for the gang during robberies. It would be the killing of Jesse James on April 3, 1882, that would gain him the most attention, though not the kind he wished for. At first he was charged with murder of James and sentenced to hang. However, he was quickly pardoned by the governor of Missouri.
Though Ford tried to profit from the killing by taking the stage, he was ostracized as a traitor and forever took on the moniker "dirty little coward." But just ten years later, Ford himself was shot and killed while running a tent saloon in Creede, Colorado on June 8, 1892. Ford’s body was returned to Richmond, Missouri where he is interred in the Richmond City Cemetery.

is a Ford Mustang Mach 1 Prototype
The Ford Mustang was introduced in 1964 as a sporty "pony car" to attract younger buyers into Ford products. After only a few short years of development, Ford saw the need to create performance Mustangs to compete with GM and their release of the Camaro and Firebird.
The Mach 1 started with the fastback "Sports Roof" body and added several visual and performance enhancing items such as matt black hood and optional spoiler, hood pins, chrome gas cap and wheels, chrome exhaust tips (optional), chin spoiler and a 351 Windsor motor as base with either a two barrel or four barrel carburetor. A 390 CI four barrel as well as the huge 428 Cobra Jet were also available engines.
By the way, Lord Ford is driving a 1996 Lancia Y with 6 gears. Que macchina!

is Francis Ford Coppola
He was born to Carmine Coppola, at the time first flautist for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and his wife Italia in Detroit, Michigan on April 7, 1939, the second of three children. Two years later Carmine became first flautist for the NBC Symphony Orchestra and the family moved back to suburban Long Island, where Francis spent the remainder of his childhood. Coppola had polio as a boy, leaving him bedridden for large periods of his childhood, and allowing him to indulge his imagination with homemade puppet theater productions. Using his father's 8mm movie camera, he began making movies when he was 10. He studied theatre at Hofstra University prior to studying film at UCLA and while there, he made numerous short films, including some soft-core porn films. While in UCLA's Film Department Francis met Jim Morrison, who's music was used later in one of Francis' most famous movies, Apocalypse Now! In the early 1960s, he started his professional career making low-budget films with Roger Corman and writing screenplays. His first notable motion picture was made for Corman, the low-budget Dementia 13.

Ford of the Day
is Harrison Ford (born July 13, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois). His maternal grandparents were Jewish immigrants from Minsk, Belarus who met in Brooklyn. His Catholic paternal grandparents were John Fitzgerald Ford (an Irish American vaudeville performer) and Florence Veronica Niehaus (a German American). Harrison, when asked as to what religion he was raised in, jokingly responded, "Democrat." Ford has also said that he feels "Irish as a person but I feel Jewish as an actor".
